The Heartland Review is the official undergraduate journal of the Upper Midwest Honors Council. The journal is student-run and student-led, and serves to highlight outstanding undergraduate work in STEM, Humanities, Social Sciences, Poetry, Prose, and Visual & Performing Arts from our member institutions.

About The Heartland Review

The Heartland Review published its inaugural publication in March 2025. The initiative started in Fall 2024, and was intended to create a space to publish undergraduate work from the UMHC's member institutions, in line with other regions.
