Accommodations
There are two hotels designated for the conference, rights across the street from each other on Hwy 34 about a mile and a half from campus. The AmericInn by Wyndham (605) 646-2689 has rooms available at the conference rate of $110/ night. The Best Western Lakeview (605) 472-2710 offers double queen rooms for $119/night.
Travel Assistance
Submission deadline is March 1.
In the spring of 2022, the Upper Midwest Honors Council voted to make available limited funding to aid schools in offsetting travel costs associated with the annual conference each spring. Applications will be evaluated by members of the Executive Board and funding is capped at $250 per institution.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning Jan. 31st based on the following criteria:
1. Size of available honors budget/funding
2. Distance from your institution to the host site
3. Number of students benefited from the award
